Hand of God Rescue is an important rescue for kayakers to learn.

This technique will allow a fellow kayaker to rescue another kayaker that is upside down in their kayak asking for assistance. The kayaker that is upright helping the upside down kayaker will pull along side the upside down boat and right it. The upright kayaker reaches over to grab on side of the kayak while pushing down on the other side of the kayak thus righting the boat. Hopefully the upside down kayaker will have enough presence of mind to just hold their breath and help. This technique is great to have in the arsenal because it can eliminate the swim a beginning boater may take if done in time.
